Charlie, after that first one I realized the lights were not on behind the group. I should have had them do a retake. We turned the Christmas lights on, and all was good after that.

Thanks for commenting!

Thank you Mavin! I am trying to decide if I want any of these in a 20 x 24 for the studio.

Dude,
YOU DA MAN!!!

sniff, sniff....it's like one of my children just graduated college.

Love the posing on the fish too! LOL.

Outstanding shutter speed selection to balance ambient with flash.

Kidding aside, you have it down, man. You are on your way.
Remember us little folks when your rich and famous.

Very frustrated that I don't live closer to you Mark. I would assist you on shoots, move the furniture, just to watch and learn some more. I am still mesmorized by that bridal you recently posted.

Thanks for all your help. If I can make it to Kerrville, you know I'll be there! Right now, it's all about the money. Recent purchase of 2 5D Mark II's have sort of put me in the poor house. Got two because I wanted Sarah shooting with one as well.

Nice series, Kelly. Your lighting is natural and warm, and balances well with the BG light.

Kelly, I know what you mean about being short on time. I miss a week on the forum, and looky here what you done posted. Man people hardly ever post their "formal" shots because they are usally boring/same old/I have to take these/just try to get through them, kind of shots. But, These are great! I am glad you posted them. It's rare to see, on a forum, but we all have to take em, so, why not share em! I'm proud of you for sharing, these are great. You are insiring me to take formals worthy of posting. Thanks!....Chris

In the future I would suggest not cutting off the bride's dress under any circumstances. Crop later if you have to, but don't cut her dress off.

The lighting seems fine overall, best in 3, 4, 5 and 7. Group shots need some evening out of the light in post.

Thanks all!

I didn't know formals were taboo! Just kidding....

About the dress cut off...normally I would not do that, but in this instance in front of the fireplace we had all the furniture...couches, trunks, etc. that coudln't be moved.

Thanks for stopping by!
