Default Academy Bride

Haven't done many weddings recently but was asked to second shoot at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs on Saturday. I've spent the down time studying off camera flash and here's the first time we used it in action. C&C welcome. Pretty much straight from the camera. Modifier was single 60 reflected umbrella with a small strobe.

The off camera flash works well and you have composed your shots nicely against Academy backdrops.
The second shot is stunning with the head within a window frame and the big dof is most refreshing.
If I had any suggestion to make it would be to crop from the right that first support in the landscape shot.
The couple appear to be very comfortable with you. Good exposure overall, take a bow!

Your third shot looks very candid, almost as if they didn't know you were there...
that is what makes it work for me

SyCo, Oh My Goodness, these are GORGEOUS! LOVE them...

(and I've been there, it's a wonderful experience - you did a great job using the chapel as a backdrop.)

Thanks very much for the comments, very kind of you all. I love that 60" umbrella. Bit of a sail in the breeze but worth the trouble, beautiful soft light.

They were a very fun couple and she was a pleasure, one of the nicest bride's yet. Both were easy to get along with, relaxed and attractive. What more could you ask for!

I'm liking the lighting ratio in the first one, but want the flowers to be included in the flash.

Nice work. Good, clear, crisp images.

I was thinking next time to lay a small snooted flash on the ground pointed just at the bouquet to give it it's own light. Might solve the problem.
