Default 1948 Chevy pickup

Not sure of the actual year but I'm guessing 1948.

2016 Atlantic Nationals, Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada - Saturday evening July 9th Mountain Road cruise.

Camera: Nikon D7100 & Nikkor 18-105mm lens

I believe it's a 1952 pickup. I'm basing that on the grill work.

And if you don't mind, I'd like to show a shot I took today, which is a very similar model.

Very nice....Love these old Chevy\GM pickups.

I concluded it was a 1948 based upon the detail sheet the owner had on the window when I saw the vehicle parked at car show.

Cheers

Ken

Morgan

Another nice vehicle. Thing I hate about it is the same issue with so many - it's a show vehicle only IMO. With no front bumper it's impractical for taking it out to eat, cruise or anything but put in a show. Soon as it's parked, someone is likely to bump it and with no front bumper, there goes a lot of repairs and $$ so for the most part they seem to be relegated to trailering to shows only. You can't enjoy the vehicle.

My 2 cents.

I believe 47 thru 53 were pretty similar, 54 was also close to the same, grill change, etc. 55 they changed a lot, I really like the 55's, but those posted here are pretty cool too.
