Default Posting a YouTube Video

You can embed a YouTube video in a post on PhotoCamel. It's quite easy. There are a couple of ways to do it.

The easiest is just to go to YouTube, find the video you want, and then copy its web address (URL) from the Address bar of your web browser into your clipboard.

Once that's done, come back here to PhotoCamel, find a thread where you want to insert the video, and just paste that URL into the thread. The Camel software usally converts the link automatically into a playable, embedded video once you save your post.

Or you can use the YouTube button when creating your post (you'll see the button toward the end of the formatting button bar). Pressing the YouTube button on the button bar will insert an opening and closing YouTube "tag," like this:

Place the ID of YouTube video in-between the YouTube tags. The ID is the combination of letters and numbers which identifies the video itself.

There are a couple of ways to find the video's ID:

From a link (URL), the ID is combination of letters and numbers after the ?v= Example:

If you are already on YouTube, the identity can be found in the address bar and to the right hand side of the screen. Again, what you want is the combination of letters and numbers after the ?v=.

Post those letters and numbers in-between the inserted YouTube tags in your PhotoCamel post, and when you preview or save the post, you'll have an embedded video. Pretty cool.

As an example, if you post the YouTube ID from the link (URL) above in-between the YouTube tags inserted by the toolbar button, you'll end up with this:

Pretty cool.

1 Paste the numeric code at the end of your link. (51Wg6k9cWhM)

2. Highlight it

3. Then click on the Youtube icon above the message editing box to get a visual representation of the video.

Click the white title in the Youtube box if you want the actual Youtube page.

Software: Too numerous to list but my most used utility is ShiftN for perspective correction

Gear: Canon G12, no tripod, no lenses, no flash, no remote, no cases or bags!

When I first got the D5100 I had to try out the video & selective color. I then edited it in Final Cut Pro. Starts slow but it get better at the end.

Testing ....Testing....
