And you'd probably need a Sherpa to carry it.

I'm still doing some window shopping for the Sigma. Hoping to see it go on sale or perhaps a price drop. I know if I buy it now the price will drop in 2 weeks. LOL

I have looked at both of these as well. I like the build of the Sigma but it is over the top and makes it heavy. Then when you put it on your camera,,,,,,


The Tamron IS does not work while panning aircraft and such, So you may want to consider that also

Thanks for the feedback about IS does work when panning.

I'm still undecided between the Tamron and Sigma. They both seem to get rather equal reviews. I think the deal breaker might be the Sigma Dock that comes with the Sigma when purchased on Adorama. I'll probably move forward this week.
