Default Rain

Well, I have shot with her before and we wanted to go outside the box so we added in nighttime and then added in rain. She is a car person and modified her car so she wanted to shoot with it as well.

The light on her is better in all of them after the first one. First one she is too dark to me, especially in the legs. Second one is maybe a bit better, but might be me. The 3rd one is the best to me and the last is close. A good set and idea.

Thanks. I had the same setting but the rain was much harder on that first one as it was the very last one we shot.

I have never seen portraits done in the rain. I like them and know she did as well. A clever idea! Keep shooting!

Thanks. I never did it before either. I have a couple things I will change next time but I was happy with what I got for a first attempt at rain shots.

First of all, kudos to you both for shooting in the rain! Notice how the rain is visible in front of the car's headlights...it shows up when back lit. To really capture the feeling of being in the rain you might want to have a light pointing in front of her and back in the general direction of the camera, to show some of the rain in front of her.

In my opinion #3 is the best of the bunch. I like how her outfit plays off the paint job of the car. It's also the most interesting angle for the car. It is a bit of an awkward crop for the car - in a shoot like this think of the car as a subject just like she is, not just as a throwaway prop.

Thank. I figured out I needed the light higher. To tell the truth it was so wet that I could not see it in the lcd. I had a light down low but next time it will be up higher. I think I will tell it too.
