I love this shot but I know I am biased of course. I wanted to see what you think? Is the light leak over done? I was looking for something out of my norm.

Thanks Tim

It's a nice image.

I suppose in the end it depends on the effect you are trying to obtain. For me, the light on camera left is too much. I also feel the painterly effect is too much as well. For me, I'd pull back a touch on the hair, and even more still on the skin.

However a lot of people like the painterly look, so you might want to leave it as is. It all depends on what you like.

My first thought was "painterly" as well, I think part of the issue might be the notion that portraits should be soft and when applied in post can be overdone.

The light in the upper left is a bit too much for me and the pinkish part near there is too. The paintery effect didn't bother me as much as the light.

Top left keeps grabbing my eye and love the painterly look. I might pop the eyes a tad as they are awesome.

Don't overthink it. A very nice and eye pleasing portrait.
