Default Headshot Retouch

My employer's new CEO started yesterday. They had me haul in my stuff for a headshot to match the style of a previous round of headshots I did a while back.
Would appreciate feedback on the retouch.

Personally, I think his eye wrinkles need to be a bit more 'even' even if they really aren't. by this I mean his right eye doesn't have much for wrinkles, even though the left is showing a ton.. I'd smooth the left side a smidge more, maybe not close to the eye, but along the cheek line... but that is JMHO.

I like it.
I'd also burn down the kicker highlight on the right side of his head as it's the brightest thing....

Seems like there is a shadow or something on his right eye. Dark ring around the eye. Nice cleanup of the hairs.

I like that you didn't over-process the image. One of his teeth is discolored and can be whitened to match the other. I also am a "minimalist" when it comes to retouching. I still would work under the eyes just a little more. I would remove the catch light on the left side.

The portrait looks fine. The background colour bothers me. It doesn't seem to suit a professional headshot of a chief executive.

For comparison, using your first post. Topaz ReMask to remove b/g. Some residual blue on the outline but I WAS working from a low res image.

The blue was requested as that is the dominant color of the company logo. Our graphics guy changed the color of his shirt to more of a cream color which looks better against the blue.

Good catches here. Not sure what's up with the right eye (left side) - I don't think it could be a shadow - but it could stand some dodging, if I can bled it well enough.

Thanks folks.

here is one try. idea is to retain blue background without it's adverse effect. one trick
is to apply guassian blur masking the man . it solves the proplem but then there will
be halos if masking is not done properly. in my edit you can see halos as masking
was done quickly using brush tools.i also used gradiants setting blending mode to
soft light to brighten and give a glow to the face and the hair.
