Default Zeus

It's been a long time since I've dragged out the camera, but I finally did, to take this photo. Had lots of fun with it and he was such a good boy, with cheese available, of course

Wanting to start over with learning studio lighting, so this was a single strobe to camera left.

Nice shot. Maybe a higher f stop? IMO it appears the right eye is not quite as focused as the left eye?

Mike, I had it set to f8, but I'll certainly check the focus and see if i accidentally bumped it off that setting. I think maybe what you're seeing is old filmy dog eye, he is 11 years old and getting that look about him. But I'll check on that when I'm home. Thanks for the comments!

You might be right about the filmy eye. I thought about that when I made the comment.

Maybe we have old man filmy dog eye

Not too bad for a relearning rookie... I like it. Probably need a bounce on the right or another light, but hey, dogs aren't stay around forever waiting. A cute little one too, and not sure how the hat stayed, so a patient one too.

I had it tied with a red piece of yarn! Cloned it out in PS. And yes, a 2nd light for sure but I'm going to take it slow and reacquaint myself with very simple lighting, adding more as I know what I'm doing better. It's never been easy for me!

Thanks for the comments, Mr P!!

Ahhhh...well, no. Lol. But I will next time! It was just already set to a good exposure. Didn't have to change a thing.
