thank you ED for the post, I think that guidance is a great thing if it is done in the right manner. we can all look back and see our trash cans have enlarged a bit and most likely will grow. like i tell everyone when starting out on anything,"if you stick with it you will get better because your already as bad as you can be" so just keep trying and listen to those that have traveled that road, they know where most of the bumps and pot holes are,as for me I'm still trying to find the road!!!! Thanks again, lightfoot!

Well thought out writing. As well as passing on personal experience. That hopefully all members read.As stated.Keeps things from turning into Flaming Wars..that always take away from any forums original intent.

Camel karma to you

UPDATE

Just bought a Rebel T2i.To replace my Canon20D.As wanted a camera to shoot video as well as stills.

Which means the 20D will be going back. Into the hands of Dan Hice. That I originally purchased it from.

Yes. That means Dan will be finally shooting again.

Good stuff... man I hate it when someone tells someone there work "sucks" for lack of better words, then that person continues to go out and do the same thing, and then they wonder why they cant get any work or get paid for there work, because all they have heard is "wow great work" you need keep up the good work, your really good, then when you see a picture they are talking about its, blurry, out of focus, bad colors. I too tell it like it is.. Yes I get some bad pictures too, but 1 I never post those or try to sell them. 2 I listen with out asking.

I'm having that same issue here with 3 photographers that "just" got there camera or, wow I want to be a photographer, everyone says my pictures are great, when all in all, they dont even know what an ISO is.

This would have been an excellent read for those critiquing "The One Light Portrait!" (It's still not too late

RENSE: When I click on your link (I judge photo's by 5 main criteria.) I go to a very detailed page on lenses. I don't think that is what you intended.
