Something else to learn I guess.

Feel, read, and to know when to take it

Despite the fact that English is not your first language, I hear you loud and clear, and you have a better, more thoughtful style to your replies than I.

Passed nearby quite a bit while my sister was attending Wells College in Aurora, on Lake Cayuga. Mmmmm...women's colleges are fun to visit.

Brutal is the only was I can describe it. But man, it's the ultimate motivator.

You are sooooo right.
The maker "gets their feelings hurt", then goes on to defend their reasons why they couldn't get the shot.
Some get too emotionally attached to their image, which makes accepting a poor critique impossible.

I agree with that too.
We had a photographer judge the SPPPA print competition last year. I'd call her work just below average.
When I questioned why she was the judge, the answer was...."It's her studio". Those rules have since been changed.
Now, only seasoned pros can judge.

people need to hear what are reactions are to their images if they truly want to become more effective as photogs. if you take what ppl interpret of your work and what ppl have t say about your work too personally - then you're using photography for therapy and attention and those are the worst types - get over yourselves and listen to what ppl have to say.
