Default Slides need to be digitized

Hello, does anyone know of a service which scans my slides?

I have approx. 3000 slides to put into JPGs ... it is not time critical!

I've never used them, but have heard lots of ads for legacybox.com. They do that stuff.

I bought one of these. I used it enough to know it works pretty well, for the price. My Daughter scanned over 1,600 old 50's & 60's family slides with it. They scan direct to an SD card.

I'm considering a copying device to fit on a Micro Nikkor and Nikon DSLR. It is economical and time efficient with a lot of slides to scan.

Thanks for bringing it up. I spent the night scrolling through the slides my daughter scanned. Brought back fond memories.

You are welcome.

With my slides I do not know what I will encounter ... most are taken in the time frame of the early 90ís ... so it will be a pleasure to see slides from back in the days!

You wouldn't have to: just a Nikon lens and an adapter for your Canon-fit body. However, even this would be too pricey for me. People have been fitting Nikon lenses to Canon dSLR bodies for years, which for several reasons is a lot easier to do than fitting Canon EF lenses to Nikon bodies. Fotodiox makes and sells several flavors of Nikon (lens) to Canon (body) adapters some are also available through distributors such as Adorama and BH Photo/vdeo/pro audio.

All the same, I would prefer to hold out for something I could use with my present equipment. It's odd though that stuff like that isn't more available. In the film days, suitable holders were readily available for "duping" 35 mm slides and film.
