Man it's been a month sense I've been able to catch up on the forums I belong too. I feel deprived! Well there are only 3 of you that I belong to these days. Anyway, I just found this article on how to convert your DSLR to a mirrorless camera. It's super easy too!

LMAO

I have a Canon 40D my son had purchased quite cheaply from which the reflex mirror had already removed when he got it. Seems to work well enough in Live View mode, but of course the main viewfinder is now pretty much useless.

Hey thanks for answering this. However, that article was a spoof article. Shows someone taking mirror out of camera with pair of pliers. LOL

I looked at the linked video before replying, so I already knew its nature. It did, however, remind me of that long-forgotten Canon 40D I had received as a token payment for a Canon 350D I was no longer using. He eventually lost interest in photography and gave the 350D back to me.

I never actually used the modifed 40D as a "mirrorless," so I don't know how well it works. Besides, I have recently bought a fully-functional 40D as well as an actual mirrorless Canon M3 with lens adapter so that I can use my existing lenses and an auxiliary electronic viewer so I don't have to use the main LCD as my viewer if I don't want to, which is most of the time.
