Since dogs don't live as long as humans I have too many to share but here is one I especially miss, Axle:

It took me a long time before I could bring myself to do the tribute thread, but, it's finally time.
We lost Majestic Bear, AKA "Ozzie'" to a brief and intense battle with stomach cancer on July 20, 2015. He was 1 month shy of his 11th birthday. After various treatments and attempts to fight off the inevitable, Ozzie, my buddy, best friend, and constant companion, crossed the Bridge.

I can understand why it took so long to post, he is a beautiful friend and companion. Sorry about your loss, but the memories are so precious.

This is Darby. We had him for almost 15 years. Passed on June 01, 2016. A great friend and companion.

I lost my best buddy, Zeke, on April 25, 2016. These photos were taken in January, 2016, during one of our walks on the frozen Red River between Fargo, ND, and Moorhead, MN. They show how I'll always remember him: walking by my side and, when he got too far ahead for comfort, running back to me. I would relive all the other grief in my life a hundred times over to have him back. I love you, buddy!

I have studied photography seriously for over 40 years and digital imaging for 23 years and continue to do both. If ever I thought I had “arrived” or reached any sort of “standard” I would pack [it] in because what I would have reached was a plateau and would then probably be incapable of learning new things……I hope this never happens.
