Not sure what your weather is like but ours is HOT!! I decided to put the sprinklers on for my boys. Sprinklers and Shelties..very funny!
Being a newbie there was no way I was going to take these in Manual mode. I took them in Sports mode on power shoot. I always take hundreds of pics when doing action shots of the boys that way I might get a few good ones.
Feedback is always appreciated.

Great shots! The third and fourth are my favorites. You captured the motion very well.
How about cropping the first one so there is more room in front of your puppy, in the direction he is going.
The second looks slightly out of focus to me.
I love the closed eyes in the third one!
And the biting of the water in the fourth!
What gear do you use?

Thanks so much!
Yes that does make sense(#1) I really have to learn to take this into consideration. His legs are almost cut off in front so I am not sure how to crop to give more room up front.
Yes you are right.
Thanks. Ryder is my pretty pure bred, but Maverick always gives me the most hysterical expressions.( Maverick in this pic)
My husband gets so upset with me because he thinks they are going to break our sprinkler heads.
I have a Canon Rebel T2i and I used my 55-250mm f4-5.6 lens. No tripod because I probably would have tripped over it chasing them
Thanks again!!

I wouldn't have been in manual mode either, you have sun and shade within 10 feet and who knows where the dogs would be when you pressed the button! I would have shot a target card in both spots though (sun spot, shade spot), for processing later.
#3 is my fave too!

and..... might try getting down on the ground with them, next time, if you can keep big wet hairy dogs off of you... the point of view will be better down there. May have to hide under a chair..

Thanks so much!! I bought them a baby pool but they never went in. They are a herding breed so that have to chase evrything that moves.
