Default A Hidden Gem for Pentax macro shooters.

There's a real little hidden gem of a lens that comes in a Pentax-K mount that many aren't aware of. It's the Sigma 28-80mm f: 3.5 - 5.6 Macro lens. I'm not sure if I just happened to get an exceptional copy of the lens or what, but mine is supremely sharp, especially in Macro mode.

Looking at the reviews on The Pentax Forum, it would have you believe that it's not worth the time of day, but if you can live with "only" a 1:2 macro ratio, this little lens is a real jewel.... or at least MINE is. And, they can be found on eBay for under $40.00.

Here's a couple of photographs take with the lens in question to show it's capabilities.
