No, I meant Renaldo. He's Heraldo's brother.

Anyway, the Bears may be lucky enough to lose to the Redskins this year on the Skins' way to the super bowl. I'll check out Ribera then.

Out of all the PhotoCamelers, us three are the only ones that care about the NFL Playoffs?

And my team stayed home........again........but we made it once.

History shows that for Redskins, Bears make good coats and tasty meals but present no threat when it comes to the playoffs.

Enjoy the thrill while it lasts!

Maybe you didn't hear: Joe Gibbs -- the guy with three super bowl rings and a bust done up in the NFL Hall of Fame -- is back as the Skins' coach.

For the next few years, the road to the Super Bowl goes thru D.C.

---------------

Sellers suggested that the team's approach is a reflection of head coach Joe Gibbs.

"Everybody believes in him, so anything he says, there's no second guessing," Sellers said. "It just makes us more confident knowing that we have a great coach who believes in us."

Yup, at best we Skins fans can hope that they remember that game and use it as a motivation going into the playoffs. Sure was nice to beat them at the end of the season, though.

Nobody who sees "coach Janky Spanky" can fail to root for the Redskins to go all the way.

Yes, Snyder is rich, as are all owners of football teams (matter of degree of richness, right?). But at heart he's just a huge fan of the Redskins, more so than most other owners are really *fans* of the teams they own. That has been both a blessing and a curse to him. He's gotten a bad rap from the local fans mainly because they want to win so badly, and in his desire to want to please them (and himself) by winning, he's made some decisions that provide not to be to wise. So the fans blame him, naturally. Too easy.

Gibbs wouldn't be here at all if it weren't for Snyder or someone like him, someone who's committed to winning, not just to making money.* So Snyder is a-okay for Washington and its fans. National opinion on the man will catch up.

If anybody, and that means an owner, a coach, a player, whoever thinks that their team is gonna turn years of 8-8 seasons into a Super Bowl team next year, or in two years, they are just handing the fans a Snickers bar.

Yeah, it really satisfies you, but only for a short period of time. Then it is the same old lethargic self.

Remember Parcells first year at Dallas. His team went bonkers and made the playoffs, after years for not. The fans were crazy, the city was crazy, the media was a buzz, but Parcells kept saying "We are not a good football team...yet". Next two years, his team has made progress and gotten better, but he hasn't made the playoffs the last two years either. I am NO Dallas fan at all, but I believe in what Parcells is saying. He took players from 3 years ago, and got rid of them. he brought in new rookies,a nd new players, and he has been building the foundation to get the Cowboys back to a 10 win per year team. At least every year.

Idiotic, moron moves to make a team a winner overnight is, well, moronic and idiotic. Case in point, and something that is a bit closer to my home, is Matt Millen. General Manager of the perenial Detroit Lions. For five years he has made the blockbuster decisions to make a winner, and he has NOTHING. He got rid of his coach early too, and that just proves how stupid his ideals are. Build a team you moron. Take three to five years, who cares? Tell the fans your coming, and then prove it every year. That is all the fans want. A winner. You don't have to win a Super Bowl every year, to be a winner.

The Patriots don't appear to be as good this year as the past two. But I don't think they lost that many fans over it. I like them better this year than last for sticking in there, and fighting. Fighting for themselves, and for the fans. people are really down on the Packers this year...becasue they did give up. Favre gave up in a ton of games this year. He threw up jump balls all over this year. Third and 3 and he is lobbing a hail mary 45 yarder. He gave up. Losers.
