Finished HP& the Goblet of Fire earlier in the week; started Isaac Asimov's The Naked Sun and am about halfway through it. Expect to finish that one by Saturday.

'Knife of Dreams' by Robert Jordan ... the gazillionth book in the Wheel of Time series. The series that refuses to die, the series that WILL NEVER END, the series that should be taken out and shot ... twice ... at least. Please make it stop ... I'm starting to hear voices.

Well, I gave you a camelkarma because maybe that will help...ok, it won't at all, but your post made me laugh and it serves as a useful warning for those of us who have never read any of that series. Think I'll stay away from it.

"SHAM: How the Self Help Movement made America Helpless"

Before that (in reverse order):
"The Two Income Trap"
"B is for Burglar"
"One Nation Under Therapy"
"A is for Alibi"

Currently reading "Fast Food Nation" and "The Regulators" (by King/Bachman).

And my own nonfiction book, "Serious Games: Games that Educate, Train, and Inform", (co-authored with a friend) came out a few weeks ago.

Heh. Thank you for the support! The series started in 1990 and is at the eleventh book. The author has slowed his pace to a new installment every two years or so. Fifteen years of waiting and the author finally has stated he'll be wrapping things up in either one or two more books. He's probably lost more fans to old age than any author in history.

T.E. Lawrence's translation Homer's Odyssey;
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein -- school made me do it, ugh;
Currently: Michael Shaara's Gods and Generals.

Next book I want to buy: John Berendt's City of Fallen Angels

The monster is a lot different from the movie versions, isn't he? Able to speak articulately and intelligent enough to outwit his creator. The appearance in the book is also a lot different than depicted in the movies. No green complexion, flat head, or bolts sticking out the sides of his neck.

Yeah, and Victor Frankenstein is quite a whiner, too.... My thesis was titled "Frankenstein: It's All About Me. / Selfishness as a Motivator"
