TV for Photos

Looking for a TV that is really good at displaying photos. Want to put it in the family living room to share photos with them.

It will be a bonus (for me) if you can tell me how to display the photos.

Cheers

most flat screen tvs today have ports for HDMI and SD cards. The ones with SD slots almost always have the software in them to do a slide show or display singles.....do your homework.
I have had good luck with NewEgg, and Tiger Direct on such things.

Thanks, Didereaux.

What should I look for in terms of specs for that specific purpose (photos).

Cheers

LG OLED 4K would be your best bet. The LG OLED has the closest you will find to true black. The colors are outstanding and if you have the proper Spectrophotometer you can calibrate it as well. They don't come cheap, but the display is the best there is FMPOV.

the specs on the tv will tell you if it has HDMI for remote computer connection etc, or if it has a SD slot for viewing photos. Almost all of them today ahve them. As for size you pick that to fit your viewing distance, you do not want a 53" and try and sit 3' from it. ;) Go into a walmart, best buy or some such and stand back from various monitors the same distance you will use at home. the one that is most comfortable to vieew is the correct size for your place.

Keep in mind the resolution the TV offers. HD TV's have a resolution of 1,280x720. Full HD TV's have a resolution of 1,920x1,080. A 4K TV has a resolution of 3,840 X 2,160. Almost twice the resolution of an Full HD TV.

The monitor I edit on is a 5K with a resolution of 5120 2880 so for viewing I want as close to that as I can get.
