I'm no expert either, but Nnamdi is one of the rare DBs- Darelle Revis being the other one currently playing- that can still be considered a "shutdown corner". When he's on his A game, he can literally take away a chunk of the field, lousy DL be damned. The Raiders DL has been better lately, but Nnamdi led the league in interceptions when an aging Warren Sapp (around the time he experimented with losing a ton of weight to get faster) was the best player in the Raiders DL.

Statistically, Nnamdi's looked lousy lately because many teams won't even throw on his side of the field, though the Dolphins figured out how to scheme around him for that game.

I guess my official opinion on this pursuit of Nnamdi is that I'm ambivalent about actually getting him, given how much it'd cost to sign him, but I won't complain if he's on the team.

Besides, if he goes to the Jets, it might not be any fun to watch their games if they've got both Revis and Nnamdi; opponents might throw to the tight end a few times a game.

Speaking of cost. Man, the Pats got Haynesworth dirt cheap. wish the 9ers went after him. I'm not convinced he is a bad guy.

Uh, the guy kicked Justin Hartwig in the chest during training camp, and during a game against the Cowboys he removed Andre Gurode's helmet and stomped on the guy's face twice (missed the first time), probably leads the NFL in recent personal fouls, and also possesses a laundry list of off-the-field incidents.

No need for that kind of garbage on the team.

Opps, forgot all about that.

But you remind me of a play when he was knocked down to the ground and he didn't even attempt to stand and play. He just laid down as the play went on around him. Very funny. I'm sure you've seen it.

  • The Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a deal that sends quarterback Kevin Kolb to the Arizona Cardinals for cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and a second-round pick. [Glad Zona over-paid ].
  • RT @Jason LaCanfora: After extensive meetings [] 49ers have informed CB Nate Clements he will be released. [No surprise there].
  • Titans release Vince Young. [No surprise there, either].
  • Saints, Dolphins agree to Reggie Bush trade. [Yawn ].
  • RT @RapSheet: Three teams were granted permission to trade for @Ochocinco, including the 49ers and Raiders. Pats win out [Yipee ].

I actually hadn't seen that Haynesworth clip. Pretty epic, though nothing can touch the Kwame Harris clip set to "Holding Back the Years", which is unfortunately nowhere to be found in the annals of the internet.

Thank the heavens we didn't get Chad. Supposedly he's a great guy (incredibly humble, easy to work with) when off the field and the cameras are off, but his antics are a little much, especially at this point in his career. I wish him the best of luck at rejuvenating his career in New England.

I'm surprised the Dolphins traded anything for Reggie; I bet the Saints would have eventually cut him anyways.
