Considering getting two tickets to see Green Bay and the Bears on Christmas Day.

Trying some Interfit continual lighting with their ringlight, a few Yongnuo speedlights and triggers, Westcott orb, and a hodgepodge of other modifiers...and still a variety of DIY photography "helpers" and gadgets all conspiring together to confuse and trick me.

Al, Baas reportedly agreed to terms with the New York Giants, and he will replace Shaun O'Hara, whom they are cutting.

Also, surprise, the 49ers are one of the front-runners for top free agent Nnamdi Asomougha, with the Jets in the mix as well. Texans are trailing but not out.

I know, I was shocked that they let Baas go. Somewhat surprised about Takeo Spikes too.

As for Nnamdi, I wish they don't pursue him, he is just too expensive.

That is great news.

Spikes is supposedly cursed. No team that he's played on, in his long career, has made the playoffs. I thought it was a joke but he's to playoffs as London Fletcher is to Pro Bowls.

Nnamdi will be really, really expensive but the local fans will love it. Stick it to the Raiders, keep the local guy around and generate buzz for a new stadium. Even if he only approaches the lofty heights Nate Clements was supposed to achieve, people will be happy enough.

Not only that, but a local writer suggested that it will show the fans that the owners/new management are serious about winning.

Still hope we don't get him.

Nnamdi is ridiculously good though. He'd make up for all the bad defensive back play the 49ers have had lately, and he's got the size and athleticism to match up against the big receivers that the Cards and the Seachickens like to put on the field.

Then again, I watched, in person, Davone Bess from the Dolphins shred the Raiders for 111 yards on 6 catches. Bess is incredibly underrated, but he was the third receiver on that Dolphins team, and was matched up against Nnamdi for much of the game because of an injury to Brandon Marshall. Either that was a fluke, or the Dolphins had a great game plan to get the ball to Bess.

I'm no expert in X & O, but my understanding is that the performance of the DBs depends quite a bit on the DL, especially DEs. So if a team has the best DBs in the game but a lousy DL then the DBs will struggle. So we really need to address pass-rushers first, in my not-so-expert opinion.
