50 years.

That's right - 50 years of The Greatest Sports Franchise Known to Man....the Dallas Cowboys.

50 years. Double Duece going into the Hall of Fame. The Super Bowl being played in Dallas. The Cowboys will be the first team to win a Super Bowl in their home stadium. It is their destiny.

This is the year, this is the place, and the time is now for The Greatest Sports Franchise Known to Man to reclaim it's glory, to build upon it's legacy, in other words, to kick the living crap out of the rest of the league.

Dallas Cowboys...16-0 in the regular season, and of course, no defeats on their way to the ultimate prize.

The rest of the league may now bow down and kiss The Star....

Thank you.

I think the Yankees with their 27 trophies might challange the title "Greatest Sports Franchise Known to man"

Nope. No sports team has the allure, the mystical qualities, the hate factor, and the fear they instill into their opponents, the way the Cowboys do.

There is almost no middle ground for this team- most people either love them or hate them. And all other teams are envious of them.

America's Team. How many times do we hear the new Super Bowl champs, such as the Saints, labeled as "The New America's Team"? Why is that? Because all the other teams want to be like the Cowboys. They crave that history, that presence, that Cowboy's Mystique.

This is a team of destiny. They will take back what is rightfully theirs this year.

I'll take a hard driving, cussing, big time drinking "winning is everything" owner who puts his money where his mouth is, any day.

Jerry Jones may come across as an idiot, but hey, he is our idiot and we love him.

....and T.O.'s agreed to terms with the Bungles, er, Bengals. He joins Antonio Bryant as another former 49er who wore No. 81 in Cincy.

Seems fitting considering how many problem children the Bengals have been rehabbing lately. T.O. has had no off-the-field incidents with the law, but he's equally unsignable in the eyes of most teams.

------

Also, in other news, no more Shaun Hill helmetless runs thanks to 2010 Rule Changes.

That is so opposite of what was aired on his reality show. I wish him luck.

Yep, good luck to him. He's a little nuts, having managed to get kicked out of SF, Philly, and Dallas, but with 15 yards-per-catch in that terrible Buffalo offense I think he's still got some skills. Unfortunately, that Buffalo offense was, at one point, run by our hometown "legend", Trent Edwards. Hopefully he can get a fresh start somewhere else.
