Captured early this morning after waiting for Kookie to show; He didn't disappoint.
Yesterday a thunderstorm broke over Wang’ that replenished the creek. I guessed he'd be there waiting for Freddo,
but Freddo was tipped off and never showed up, so we gave it away. Kookie rewarded my patience with a couple of cool KIF shots.

Thanks Mike. I see you have an awesome line up of Oly lenses there in your kit.
Reading through one of your old threads on the Think Tank Airport kitbag, how did it turn out?
I'' not in the market for a new bag, I already have two Lowe Pro bags, one backpack used for wedding photography before retirement, and a neat shoulder bag with sash belt for travel, just big enough for my M5 Mkii plus my XZ-2 compact.

Mark, what was the shutter on these, mostly on the last? Seems to not be enough to freeze, but he might be moving fast on lift off. I also wonder if you did anything in post, like art filtering work as the background foliage seems like a watercolor effect of sorts.

Mr Pickles, 1/3200 sec., F5.6, ISO 1600, A mode (info given between IMG #2, #3 above) I have a strong aversion to Art filter effects.

FYI, I PM'd you an exif data screenshot. The background in all was too close to the subject to have rendered a softer dof, hence the watercolor effect.

Edit: bird appears completely frozen to me?

I think Mr. Pickles is referring to the foreground wingtip, which does indeed show some motion blur.

The Think Tank bag worked out good. I was able to fit in all my equipment and the wheels makes it easy to move around. I only use it when I travel and use a Think Tank I30 when going about town. I went to Olympus because I wanted light.
