YES, you really need it. It is a great lens from all that I have read. I have the cheap option, and it is cheap. I pulled the trigger a bit ago on the Oly 75mm f/1.8, so I'm in a holding pattern on new lens, but this one is on the short list for a zoom. The 12-4 f/2.8 and this 40-150 f2.8 and a body (or 2) is all you need to cover a ton of options. Might be a bit front heavy on the E-M10 and "smaller" but oh so worth it.

You better get one. I mean, how bad would you feel if I got one, and then told you how incredible it was? You might as well do that to me. You can save $200 now on it I think direct from Oly (both others have the same price).

Do it....

We need a 40-150 f/2.8 leader. Wollyback needs to sign up and take the lead on this

The M1 doesn't know how happy it would be with a new bigger brother to the 12-40....only 2 lenses you might need. Clean and simple.

I feel my reserves crumbling as I type

I suppose I could treat myself to a new bigger brother lens to cheer up the smaller brother
