Default Bronica ETR-S

Hi all I am looking at this kit. Bronica ETR-S 120 and 220 film backs. Also included is a bronica 75mm 2.8f lens, Bronica speed grip. I have a poss trade for my Canon A1 and a glass. Never handled one before. My only MF cameras have been Yashica TLRs.

Bronica cameras are light weight for MF slr's.They offer good performance, great optics and have a good line of accessories at excellent prices. That said, here is a quick link that explains some differences between it and the ETRSi.In case these features are important to you.

There are 3:the autoexposure prism, the AEll,and AE lll.The last 2 should be the easiest to find.

Any idea what this kit is worth so I can gauge trade values.

I just picked up a Bronica ETR-s with 75mm E-II lens w/hood, 120 film back, standard prism, and speed grip for 225.00. System looked great but foam was going in mirror box on body, I had local repair shop replace foam for 35.00 dollars. I also picked up a 50mm MC and 150mm MC lenses from KEH for another 150.00 for both, they where KEH rated bargin but I feel these would be excellent if on Ebay.

I feel the Bronica ETR system is very reasonable medium format system now days. I have been shooting digital for the past 4-5 years and now back shooting B&W film with Bronica processing film myself and then scanning. There is still something magical about shooting film.

All the best
Robert

Well I traded my Canon A1 kit. Got the ETR-S 120 and 220 film backs, 75mm 2.8f lens, speed grip, Sekonic L-398 meter & some filters and a little cash in exchange.

Just reading the manual and trying to figure it out now.

It's an awesome camera!

Check out KEH.com for LOTS of great values on lenses and accessories.....so cheap now!

I bought mine about 5 or so years ago....the 75mm, ETRS Body, 120 Back and AEII Prism set me back almost $725!!!

well I have been playing around with it for a few days now. I have come to the same conclusion as with my last Med format camera. It's just not for me. I guess I will see it there is anyone around who wants to trade a G9 or something for it.
