Default Zenza BRONICA

I just won one on E-Bay an ETRS model and should be getting it next week. Looking forward to working in a medium format. I understand this model shoots 4.5 x 6. Can't wait. Ordered some film from Amazon and it should be arriving about the same time. Going to try Wal-Mart as I understand Fuji does the processing.

Does anyone know if you can get a scan or cd of the shots with the film processing at WalMart?

Thanks,

Mike

I used a Fujica 645 in the old days. I loved the vertical format and it forced me to create that way, which sold several cover shots. Even in the old days, mass marketers weren't equipped to do medium format. I have to believe it's worse these days. But don't get discouraged, medium format will teach you to be a better shooter, and the detail is fabulous.
Maybe someone will build a reasonably priced medium format digital for those terrific optics not too long from now. One can only hope!

Welcome to the M/F way.
! use a Broni 6x4.5 you will not be disapointed. You will become adicted.
Slow down have a coffee think what you want to shoot.
The best tip I was given when I started M/D. Use a tripod and a shutter release cable.
Remember your not useing a rattle them off digi thingy.
Enjoy
Al.

Thanks guys for the welcome. I am looking forward to getting and using the Bronica. I have ordered a roll of film to get started and can't wait. Any suggestions as to where to have the film processed? I am looking at Wal Mart but would like to receive the developed negatives on a cd or have the ability to download via the internet. Any suggestions as to who to use other than Wal Mart?

Thanks,

Mike

I did a google for "medium format film processing" and got numerous hits for 120 film. Pick one and give them a try. I don't recognize any, bit if they are still processing 120, and they have business, they must be decent. Worth a try.

Let us know how it comes out. I wouldn't mind shooting some 120 film these days. I wish we still had Kodachrome 64 though.

Ditto...

Aww, those happy days of yore when we had Kodachrome in Medium and Large format sizes!

OK I received the camera today but a couple of oh, ohs. One no take up spool. Anyone know where I can get one, quick? I am trying to find a roll of 120 film here in Ocala to use the spool from it but I don't think there are any. Second I have the Bronica ETRS. Is there a way to test the shutter without film in it? Figured it out with the help of a guy from KOH's Camera. You have to put the camera into multiple exposure mode and remove the film slide (duh). Works yea! Now I just have to get a take up spool.

Two options: (1) sacrifice a roll of film or (2) PM me your address and I'll send you a few.
