Glad to hear I could be of help.
I personally prefer the look of the 150 without discs, but to each his own.

We went with a solid hardwood spacer rather than foam tape, carefully grooved to accept the shape of the junk RB front plate. The result is solid, fairly light weight, and light tight. Thankfully the 4x5 came with an optional bag bellows, the focus would be too close with a standard bellows (maybe we did something wrong, but it's going to work).

I hope to get a chance to use it soon, waiting for a polaroid back to start off with.
Hi Alan. Which Polaroid back are you looking for? I have 545 that is collecting dust. If it suits your needs I would be happy to mail it out to you.

Thanks Gerry! I've got one now, but that is very generous of you! My only excuse is clearing the living room to make room for the lights and finding a model. I had heard that Fuji was going to quit making the film but see it's still up at B&H. It's not as good as the Polaroid was, but can be fun. With the color stuff you can wet a piece of glass, stick the peel off negative face down on it after peeling away the paper and wipe the anti-halogenation layer off with a paint brush and plain old Clorox.

I thought about this thread when I saw the following on ebay. It's a very, very rough attempt, but the components are there to re-work it if a guy had the right 4x5. The ideal, I think, would be a recessed board on an 8x10 with a reducing back.

I've read that many places, next time up it's wide open with no disc! Thanks again.

Crap, 2.5 years? Sorry, I've been ill.

On topic: I see where you can pick up a Heidelberg/Tango Scanner for under six grand these days, now tell me a digi-cam can do better than that and your 11x14 camera?

It's been a while since I stopped by here. By the looks of it I'm not alone.

Tom, I know it's been [I]another year and a half[I] since your post above, I hope your illness was brief and your recovery complete.

As neat as the RB lenses are on the 4x5 it's tough getting people to shoot, so I've not done a lot with this set up.

Here's one I shot with the 250 (cropped since she's nude)

Fantastic macro.
Well if THAT is "Hybrid 4x5 & Digital", then just about
EVERY digital shooter is doing Hybrid 4x5 & Digital.

Unlike the true hybrid set up in the OP, the entire 4x5
Busch Pressman with lens is nothing more than a lens
in focusing mount, albeit a ridiculously large awkward
focusing mount. Every digital shooter is using a lens in
focusing mount, altho usually not of such pointlessly
huge proportions.

OK, it does cool macro. Cuz it has a bellows. I have a
105mm enlarging lens on a bellows. But it's a bellows
for a small SLR camera ... not huge but very versatile.
Do you use the tilt feature for your macro ? There's no
tilt on my bellows [other models do tilt] but cuz I'm in
"Hybrid 4x5 & Digital" mode I can just do focus stacking
if I need sooper DOF. Try focus stacking with a press
camera ... or don't, cuz it focuses from the wrong end
and is kinda huge for riding on a focus rail. [The Sinar
mentioned above at least solves that problem.]

Wow thread is still going. Just to prove I am still shooting that old Graphic:

I finally got around to developing that pack of film in the adapter there, but messed it all up. Sigh!
