My smart pants and I have added "eyes" to the list Ken.

But I am not going to model on a dolphin in the milkyway. That's where I draw the line.

Laycey would say that only my ego can eclpes my talent! That is my talent for sticking my foot in my mouth clear up to my knee and sometimes hip!!

B U T ! I will try to get some type of reflections. Now who is dumb enough to let me try this. You know Laycey will say, "Heck, you got yourself into this! Now you darn well can get yourself OUT!!"

Athena, considering that fog season is just starting here I think that I could arrange a few macro photographs. All I need to do is wait until it is thick enough.

Hi Athena

What about dragonflies as a subject?

All the best

While I love macro, I continue to have trouble with the selection of any specific, nature related subject that we are supposed to shoot now rather than pull from stock. A few of us are just coming into the start of insect season but so far this year I have not seen a dragonfly. I suspect South African dragonflies will be disappearing soon (or is it warm all year where you are?). How can we have specific subjects with a world wide membership? Leaves is pretty good now. I may be able to get the new Spring crop while others may get the colors of Fall. Both work.

OK Doug, how's this for a suggestion. Wait until the northern hemisphere fall/autumn and then run a dragonflies challenge. That way we all get to have a go.

We do have seasons here, basically dry and wet. There are lots of insects in general around right now. The two main emergences are after the September/October and Feb/March rains, which seems pretty standard for the tropics. So tropical photographers are going to be busy more or less at the same times of year world-round.

The southern part of our country has a more mediterranean climate with a definite spring, summer, autumn and winter. Of course these are 180 deg out of phase with the northern hemisphere.

All the best

Steve
