Default Narcissus fly hoverfly

The Narcissus fly hoverfly Meredon equestris. First I've seen this year. Spotted it on my miniature pine tree but it happily walked onto my finger giving me some different shooting angles. All shots 5Dmk2/MPE-65/430Ex flash hand held. Focus stacked using zerene.

Nice series (as usual). It looks like a bee.

Thanks for the comments GJ and Steven

Steven - yes they are bumble bee mimics. They even come in about 6 different colour schemes - matching most of the bumble bee species.
