Straight out of my Galaxy phone. No crop.

Lovely; half abstract, half macro. Really like it

Macro on a cell phone? Who'd 'a' thunk it? Duly impressed with the magnification and sharpness of the macro; a bit less so with the whites' lack of brilliance.

Thanks Gautam.

Thanks also Alan.
It has been cloudy here for the past several days. Even then, this flower had no white in it's petals.
The S10 has a "PRO" menu as well where you can adjust shutter speed, WB, highlights & shadows, ISO and aperture to a curtain degree. I haven't messed with those settings yet.

I doubt that the petals have medium gray edges, especially as depicted toward the bottom of the image. I strongly suspect that these edges were substantially lighter in color than the main body of the rose petals, but they didn't come out looking that way in the photo. This may have been underexposure or a post-exposure effort to tone down what would otherwise have been a distracting element in the composition. If the latter, it was overdone. My guess is that the rose looked lighter and brighter when viewed on-site. (I could probably reproduce photographically what I am talking about, given your permission.) I am also really looking forward to seeing your report or tests when you get around to playing around with the "pro" menu.

I went back today, but that flower was gone. I do have a wider shot which makes me want to retract my statement about no white in the petals. I can't be sure that the grey isn't what you say however since there is no evidence anymore.

Feel free to edit on any in this thread.

Here is my take on the first image, which I brightened up by playing with the histogram a bit. My guess now strongly leans to the original's having been underexposed by about 2/3 stop.

Hi Alan, that does look better than what the phone calculated.

Curious which Galaxy model did this. Certainly looks good for a phone.
