Default Female bee fly

A cold and slightly damp female bee fly.

Wonderful images...how on earth did you convince it to sit on your finger? You never cease to amaze!

I saw my first of these last year, I'm sure they've been around I just never 'saw' them before. Macro certainly opens up your world in many ways.

Thanks for the comments Gautam and Bev - appreciated.

Bev - it was too cold to fly so happily walked onto my finger to warm up a bit.

Brian,
Nice series. Love the color and detail in the wings on the last one.
