Image #1 is probably a centuries-old tower, but its shape still makes me think of a graphite missile. I would also like to know the history behind the shape of that odd boot-shaped rock in image #5, though I wouldn't expect you to know that, nor would I necessarily expect it to have anything to do with footwear.

The "boot" is Finn McCool's Boot at the Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. It's from a legend about a Scottish giant threatening to attack Ireland.

We will be in Ireland in about the same spots in 2 months. Dublin to Wexford, Wexford to Kenmare----Ring of Kerry and Dingle Peninsula--then to Doolin, next stop is Cashel and after a few days, back to Dublin for flight home. I have been there before, took a couple of months to travel from Zurich to Innsbruck, to Herzogenaurach, Germany, then to Amsterdam, to England for a few days, then a boat from Harwich to Ireland and a couple of weeks there. We travel a bunch but this is my wife's first time to Ireland.

Looks like I miscounted: what I took to be image #5 (the boot) is really #6.
