Default Australian Rock and Cave Paintings

Hosier Lane has become internationally known for its quirky street art.
I spent about an hour here shooting just a few of the works - I am impressed by their ingenuity.
1.
I had heard mention of the Lane long ago and only stumbled upon it on Wednesday, just 2hours before I had to catch a train back to Wang'.
2.
A return to this 'sacred site' is at the top of my priority list for my next Melbourne visit.
3.
These few images are just a sample, not necessarily or by any means "the best".
The Lane is an entire block long and I had not time enough to catch more than a glimpse of it.
4.
Hosier Lane is quite an institution and well worth a visit by anyone visiting Melbourne
5.
I was moved by the poignancy of a large number of anonymous sticky notes affixed to a wall ...
6.
... which express the thoughts and feelings of a young generation. This is a random selection that can be read at 1024 pixels wide.
7.

These are brave new voices born to a hostile world - I am profoundly saddened by some and especially for those that remain silent.

What a surprise Mark. I thought they would be from the old ones.

Interesting.

I should have added 'Urban' to the title, jj.
