We don't have many big buildings around here like that one; too many earthquakes. We do have a few smaller towers like that, but most of our buildings look quite different.

There's a 1920s law that limits the height of buildings in Charleston so that nothing can be higher than the spires of the churches. And no historical building downtown can be taken down or have changes to the exterior.


It makes for a very inviting and livable place.
