Usually in fortified towers and houses, the animals were herded into the ground floor and the families lived above them. There was only one door 1 floor up accessed by a ladder. At night or during a siege, the ladder was pulled up to prevent the baddies getting inside!

Yes, detail is good but the flare is bad. Not enough exposures

Thank you Kelly. The interior walls were plastered originally, sometimes ornately. In this shot you can see a 3-D pattern.
