Don't know why they call it that - maybe Robin Hood holidayed there one year

Nobody's certain about why it is named as it is. Wikipedia says that it is very unlikely that Robin ever went there!

A couple of very enjoyable shots, Rob. I have stayed at the camp site above the village but have not visited the viewpoints you chose. Like 'em both but think I prefer #2.

Gear: Canon G12, no tripod, no lenses, no flash, no remote, no cases or bags!
