Default Roman road

On my cycle ride yesterday, I crossed a Roman road. To the west it was a farm track

and to the east a forestry track

It is the Gask Ridge frontier system is the earliest Roman land frontier in Britain,
built in the 70s AD, 50 years before Hadrian's Wall in northern England.

I like them both, good compositions with good natural processing

Thanks, guys. Actually, I think the history is more
interesting than the photos! But the sun was shining and
I thought I would shoot them anyway. The clouds were
quixotic and, despite waiting around, they refused to
cooperate for #2

Jean-Clude,

The vote is split - never mind, they have catalysed a dialogue

Thanks for your kind comments.
