Default Nikon Announces D800 & D800E

Amazing 36 Megapixel FX sensor, HDR mode and all the other features you are used to in a Nikon DSLR make this one incredible piece of gear. Lots of info here:

Murray are you getting it?
The D400 comes out this year too and there's supposed to be
a D3200 coming soon and a D7100 as well.

the only thing on the D800 that I am concerned about is the 4fps in fx
on dx with the battery grip you can get 6fps. This is what I am hoping
will be my next camera by the end of the year but I'm still looking
to see what the D400 delivers because more fps would be awesome especially
for birding which I am into as well. You got $3200 I can borrow now LOL

Hi Josh. I actually am leaning more toward the D800 than I was toward the D4. I am doing much more landscape and architectural shooting these days so I find the need for more megapixels and less fps. In any case, I think I will wait until the folks at dpreview run the cameras through their paces to see the image quality and performance. And as you point out, the D400, D3200, & D7100 will all be in contention soon.
