Default GTCU #1977

Here is Guess the Close-up #1977, of which a few dozen will fit into a bread box, even in the packaging as received from the store/shop.

The mystery objec has nothing to do with power from utility lines. Not powered by it and the mystery object would easily fit into the electrical box onto which you would mount a wall switch or outlet - not that you would normally do such a thing. Think small!

It could be used in the kitchen, but this device is not at all specific to the kitchen, or any other room in particular.

Another visual clue. I would have done a counterclockwise turn, but it made the etching look like embossing, kind of like sometimes happens with aerial views of a cratered surface of an astronomical body.

I have to admit that last clue wasn't very helpful. This one shows an actual necessary part of the Mystery Object. The brownish area to the left is background and not part of the mystery object.

Not a musical instrument and you can't even blow into the mystery object. Besides, GTCU #1871 was a close relative of the harmonica in that it worked on much the same principle, but was for a different purpose.

The current mystery object can be made to make a sound but it isn't very loud and you can't control the pitch or loudness. The object's sound is of a definite pitch, but it is not musical and the quality of the sound it emits is not important to the device's purpose. Although I use the mystery object quite often, I hardly ever set it up to produce a sound.

Not part of the mystery object itself but part of the mounting hardware. This is not really cheating on my part because this hardware is more conspicuous than mounting hardware and is not really intended to be hidden.
