a bread box, or not, mebbe that means
it IS a breadbox !



Or mebbe a piano or uke or something
in between [cello, etc, etc ... IOW not a
tuba or trumpet, but mebbe an oboe] ?

the part you see might be considered trim but not on a boat or car
makes no noise harmonious or otherwise

Much smaller than a wall of floor. It is not really trim but an integral part of the object.

Looks like part of a bed post. Extending to the whole object, I would guess a bed frame. Some wooden chairs also have such posts sticking up at the corners of their backs, so the mystery object might also be a wooden chair, which may or may not have rockers on it.
