Default jumped into the X100 club

After much online research I decided this was the perfect addition to give me quality shots and portability. The camera reminds me so much of the Rollei 35 I carried around for about 40 years that it feels good in my hands.

No one is discounting that I could find, but my local dealer threw in that nifty leather case which is also very nice. Battery is on the charger, manual absorbed and tomorrow will be sunny, though very cold. Should be adding to the thread for X100 shots soon.

Poor Paul,

What made you decide on the X100 instead of the X Pro 1?

Twice the price? That, but I wanted a high quality piece with a fixed lens that could hang on my wrist without worrying about which lens to bring along. Simple, good, and always with me. The Rollei 35 fit the bill as did later on a Leica Minilux. Understand that I am not a professional, but simply an enthusiastic amateur.

Mine has 11,000 shots on it already and always with me! The important thing is to get your settings right and understand the tricks to get the focus spot on 100% of the time.
