Default Got a HS20 today..

finally the day has come!!
I m a proud owner of a hs 20 now
the forum members here helped me to make my decision, I thank all of them now

As far as first impression goes, hm its a very demanding camera! you need to take control of it...Wild Horse!!

I have a query here, while taking pics of landscapes, which settings should I use??

I shot quite a few nice macro photos but landscapes were a bit 'smeared ' looking and 'noisy' . I think its due to my mistake in settings
I tried both exr hr / exr dr and SP2 (landscape)
Weather was very cloudy..could that be the reason?
will post pics soon!

Try Auto ISO on the first one and see or drop exposure by -1 stop.
The second photo is really nice tho!!

I would guess that auto iso is the problem.
I noticed on my sister's HS20 when I briefly tried it that it used very high iso values when I didn't think it should do.
What is the exif info on the image?

Lol, as in the middle of Manhattan, or as in like Syracuse/Utica area? I've lived in both, or stayed for a long time in both I should say. Might as well call it living since my hotel was my home of residence at the time...lol... go Orangemen! lol always made me laugh

Yeah, you're just a rocks throw from where I used to live in Andover, NJ, between Newton and Sparta. I go up there three times a year for business in NJ and the 5 boroughs around NYC, then a couple times a year for visits with friends and relatives. I also keep going to visit my old house since the ahole that bought it from me had the woods all logged and now it's like a barren wasteland.

I live in Mooresville, NC, about 22 miles north of Charlotte on the biggest lake in the state, Lake Norman. Gorgeous place here. Love Binghamton, but too much snow for me! lol
