The Kitchen is a dangerous place

1. Plain flour Scones become Stones, SR flour needed

2. Pyrex dish explodes in toaster oven, what a bloody mess!

3. Cutting edge cuisine, Lamb roast impregnated with glass shards

4. Oh well

Such is life without a wife ...

If it's any consolation, I've had a few meals like that with a wife over the years.
But, most of the time she does a good job.

You'r'e lucky to have a wife Gary, mine passed away several years ago. But I do have a friend who visits occasionally and she's a wonderful cook.

Sorry for your loss pandora. You are so right. I don't take that blessing lightly.
We both know life doesn't come with a guarantee.

My wife is a good cook most of the time but she will occasionally get side tracked by a book or the TV and forget the stove. It's been an ongoing joke between us, I give her a hard time about it sometimes, but she knows I'm just joking and we both get a chuckle out of it. We've been married for 43years now, so she has my number.

That's a long marriage, Gary, and o viously a wonderfully happy one. I know where your wife is coming from in getting immersed in tv while the stove is forgotten. Ive learnt to set the timer on my phone which I keep in a breast pocket!
