What is your favorite film camera?

Do you have a favorite film camera? What is it that you like most about it?

If you have a digital camera (or cameras), too, what is it that you like better about your favorite film camera?

My Nikon F100. An amazingly capable camera that I loved to use.

But then I bought a prosumer digital (Nikon Coolpix 5700) and never touched it again!

Though I have moved on to Digital, My favorite film camera is my Mamiya 645. It is the older 645 model.

I think mine is a sentimental favorite-- my OM-10 that I got back in 1982. I still have it, but don't use it much any more.

Re: What is your favorite film camera?

Hmmmm, well, all of the Nikons I have owned: Nikkormat, F, F2, F3, and then, my real fave, the Nikon N90. For the first time, I could set it on full auto, and shoot with confidence that I would lose far fewer frames to exposure and focus problems than I would have running around with my meter & trying to remember, " Was that f5.6, or f8?" So, the N90 wins the contest for me. 'Course, I never owned an F4 or F5, but, if I was shooting 35mm film anymore, I really think that, ironically-- given the digi wave, the new F6 may be the best. If my ship majically comes in, I'll buy one of those just for kicks . . . . . but, I really can't imagine anymore running my film to the lab and waiting for the results.

It was the Olympus OM2, although the OM4 was even better but slightly more complicated :)
