Interesting experiment and first attempt. What did you learn in the process? Looks like the film took a bit of a beating during development (scratches).
Keep at it.

First and foremost, I have learned to get over my fears and analysis paralysis as I've been told I suffered! Second, I have learned to understand film, and its fantastic abilities! For instance, despite this being developed in caffenol, and for my first attempt at both film, and at home development without the proper chemistry, the film has shown its ability to produce what I feel, an outstanding photograph!

As I wrote, keep at it. For a very minimal investment in conventional chemicals you may open up a whole world of new possibilities for film.

A lot of people would love the look that you got, beat up as it were. Film is still a great medium and it still has things in its images that digital does not. Good job to keep at it....

If I am not mistaken your Exakta was made by the same people who made the Praktica. My first SLR was a Praktica MTL3 bought over 30 years ago. Amazingly it still works well and it's been dropped, stored for years in a drawer and generally maltreated. Only the meter does not work and that is only because the batteries for it are no longer made (they contained Mercury). I've used it recently to explain to students all about shutter speeds and apertures. Several other cameras have come and gone in that period but the Praktica, built like a tank, soldiers on.

Yes, They have the same relatives, with the Exacta being licensed to Russian or Kiev makers by Pentacon and Zeiss, and my Pentacon Six TL being made previously in after war Germany.

Looks like you need to practice rolling the film so that you don't scratch it

I use pentacon lenses on my 5D for filming movies. Although they aren't all that fast, they have a nice character and color rendition.
