Yesterday was pinhole day, but I guess I still need some more time practicing. But I took the challenge to make a kind of Kodalith out of one of the pictures I shot today!

very nice AndreJan.
For my birthday I got a stenoflex set, did two images but noticed that the development resulted in very dense images. Not suitable for reproduction on such a high quality forum.

The kodalith came out nice but the soft colors in the second image are really nice!

Thanks Rense. The Kodalith was just a bit of fun, maybe not even worth showing (In terms of Little Britain: "Don't like it").
I noticed that even with a digital camera it takes a lot of shots to get one right, film might be an even bigger challenge.

A bit late but still Happy Birthday.

Hi

I don't know if you are interested in this at all, but I have been teaching pinhole photography within the Cambridge homeless community, using beer-cans & 3month exposures. Check this out -

Thanks!

I am going to try the pinhole thing with my DSLRs. But I really like the beer can thing, especially with it challenging the stereotypes of the homeless.

Commercially I shoot digital, but there is something very special about the old school processes. I love teaching them, and seeing the reaction of those that are so used to digital.

I have a few other projects on the go, so I'll post them up when I make further progress. I could do with getting some more funding!

Sorry I can't help with the funding, poor as the proverbial church mouse, but I would be very interested to see more of your projects. I've never shot with a pinhole but this thread has inspired me to have a go.

Sorry man - not after your cash. More thinking of the Arts Council etc.

Give it a go. Check out the work of a friend of mine - Pinhole photography by Justin Quinnell
Justin is one of the world's leading pinhole photographers. Bit crazy, but a good guy! He is working on a 4 year exposure project!

We plan to do a parcel pinhole camera and send it to various people around the world then scan the image we get. If you are interested we can include you in the circulation, you just then post it on to someone else. Have a think. No pressure.

Better go, I am supposed to be preparing a presentation I have to deliver tomorrow. Let me know if you have found the secret of having enough time for stuff. Pretty much everyone I know is always got something on. Just waiting for a serious of Vogue jobs, then I may retire early...
