Ah from the days when "Sears had everything". I so remember "Silvertone" products and the venerable "Kenmore" (Previously known as Lady Kenmore as the top-of-the-line). Those Sears badged SLRs were mighty sturdy. I miss the days when Sears offered quality, and that in three levels "Good, Better & Best" and none of them were poor. That was before the K-Mart merger.

Do you know what manufacturer built the camera?

Steve

...this might be helpful, scroll down for repair tips, the battery might need some time to charge the capacitor

I do think Ricoh was the maker. I do remember when Sears had lots of camera gear even K-Mart did back then. Still have my old screw mount 200mm lens from K-Mart heavy thing but still a beauty Thanx Folks

I remember walking in to the Automotive section of my local store and seeing rebuilt engines on display, including a Ford flathead V8.
They also had Zundapp motorbikes on sale.

My monopod is one my Dad bought from K-Mart. The head sucked - all plastic with a sloppy, plastic QR plate - but I use it headless.
