The original image speaks for itself. The lighting is good, the focus is good and the ladies in background help lend to the story. I'm assuming this is from a fashion show.

If it was a fashion show (which you stated it was) and the intent is the fashion and not so much the environment, then the crop that BlueMax put up (good for asking first, BlueMax) is a pretty good improvement and shows what can be done in post when the environment didn't give the proper vision.
