Default Sweet Marissa

Marissa is one of my Makeup Artists though every once in a while she decides she would like to model. In #1 the right hand is bad but I liked the face and was the best overall out of the series

Very nice. I can see why you like to use her as a model.

Very nice shots. #2 What a great example of using a forward tilt of her head when you intend to crop the top of her head. It really makes this picture!

These are both terrific shots of Marissa Bobbi. I really like the lighting you have use here. May I ask what you used? I'm trying to learn different lighting patterns for my models and try and pull apart an image to work it out.

So far, in #1 I see a hairlight at top rear, A main at camera right perhaps 45 degrees to the model slightly higher than eye level.. The shadow under the chin to my inexperienced eye suggests a small light source, perhaps beauty dish or small softbox due to the harder shadows. For the background light I can think of a couple of ways to accomplish the gradation across the background. Snoot or grid can do this. I think there is a fill as well although I cant tell where it is using catchlights.

As I said earlier though. Very nice images there.....

Both shots are lit the same. 1 - 7' octabox above eye level slightly camera right
