There was very heavy smoke during this show. Does anyone have any suggestions to improve or lessen the impact of the smoke?

I'd give the de-haze slider a try. If that doesn't help I'd then try increasing contrast and clarity. Might help.

But overall I think the smoke is fitting for the image.

Contrast or clarity will do it.

I took some of the smoke out using the others suggestions with Topaz adjust.

Much better, still has the smoky effect which is key to the composition.
